The Battle of Beechy Head - Grayshott December 2025

After many, many years of attempted diplomacy and carefully targeted attempts to try to keep this tricky customer in shape and under control, negotiations collapsed and the cavalry was called in.

A messy conflagration ensued as chainsaws, flashing in the Winter sun, fought gargantuan brambles the size of Kraken's tentacles for supremacy of an overextended beech line.

Several long hours later the enemy was utterly routed, the dead and dying scattered across the field and a legion of robins descended to feast upon the spoils.

Or this was a strong pollard of a heavily overgrown beech hedge approximately 20 metres in length and 10 feet in height. The hedge is now reset, prepared for proper management going forward and ready for healthy regrowth.
